MIA aims to provide maximum access to a best practice learning experience in all forms of public engagement within the museum. Inspirational and participatory learning is central to the work of MIA and underpins everything that the museum does. Its aim is to foster strong, personal connections between our many diverse audiences and the objects within the museum’s collections so that meaningful learning may result. MIA encourages everyone inside the museum to experience, think, enjoy, question, understand and challenge.
MIA offers two options for teachers interested in bringing their students to the museum:
- The MIA School Visits program is specifically tailored to the Ontario Curriculum in order to enrich classroom learning and fit easily into lesson plans.
- MIA is also pleased to be part of the Harbourfront Centre School Visits Program.
