Group Visits Visiting the MIA

The MIA offers group tours of its exhibitions. Guided group tours are only offered if booked in advance.

Group tour rates

  • Adults: $7+HST
  • Seniors (65+), Students (with valid ID) & Children: $5+HST

Reservation process

A group consists of at least ten (10) participants with a maximum number to be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Guided tours require at least three weeks’ advance notice. Group leaders may submit a reservation request via email to Lauren Williams at lwilliams [at] miamuseum [dot] ca or contact the museum directly at 416 640 1571.

Tours last approximately one hour, are based on availability, and are not guaranteed until confirmed by a museum representative via email.

Self-guided groups that prefer to visit the permanent collection without the assistance of a museum docent or an outside lecturer can do so without advance notice.


Payment is due upon arrival at the museum front desk and prior to entry into the museum.

Please note that we require 48 hour notice for any changes or cancellations. In the event that a group has pre-paid there will be no refunds or exchanges for any changes made less than 48 hours leading up to the visit.

Check-in process

Guided tour groups should arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled tour start time.
